Job summary

Johnson Health Center is seeking a Medical Coding Specialist to join our Billing & Coding Department. You will review patient records, assign ICD-10-CM and CPT/HCPCS codes, and ensure compliance with regulations and policies.

Collaboration with providers to clarify documentation will be essential to support accurate coding and high-quality reporting. Ideal candidates have CPC or CCS certification and at least two years in clinical coding, with proficiency in EHRs and payer guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must hold CPC or CCS coding certification.
• Minimum of two years medical coding experience in relevant settings.
• Proficient with ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS and payer guidelines.
• Experience with HIPAA and documentation improvement processes.
• Strong communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Review records and assign ICD-10-CM and CPT/HCPCS codes.
