Family Health Centers of Southwest Florida is seeking a dependable Coding Specialist to join our team of professionals. You will be responsible for accurate coding of medical records in compliance with regulations, reviewing charts and submitting codes for processing.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, and Commercial Insurance rules.
• Understanding CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10 coding and modifiers.
• FQHC billing procedures and Sliding Fee Schedules knowledge a plus.
• HIPAA guidelines adherence required.

Responsibilities

• Review accounts for coding and abstracting patient encounters.
• Audit documentation to ensure diagnoses and services support reimbursement.
• Assign codes for reimbursement and regulatory compliance.
• Enter CPT, HCPCS and ICD-10 codes in Intergy accurately.
• Provide feedback to providers to improve documentation.
• Stay updated on LCDs and Medicare updates; apply NCCI.
• Serve as coding consultant to providers.
