Job summary

Bellingham Advanced Medical Imaging, LLC. in Mount Vernon, WA is seeking a skilled medical coder to join a busy radiology practice. This role requires accurate ICD-10 and CPT coding and a commitment to HIPAA compliance in a largely remote setting.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Code ICD-10 and CPT codes accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accuracy and low error rate in coding.
  • Prepare and process up to 500+ reports per day.
  • Collaborate with radiology practice across multiple reading locations.

Salary Range: $34.00 - $39.00 Hourly

Job Summary

Under general supervision, this position will be responsible for coding for a busy radiology practice with multiple reading locations. This position will ensure that every exam is coded accurately and in a timely manner. Proficiency and accuracy in coding ICD-10 and CPT codes are a must. This position requires attention to detail, analysis and research.



Qualifications


  • Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • Medical Coding Certification (CPC) required.

  • 3+ years’ experience working in medical coding preferred.

  • RadPayor, MedInformatics, and Waystar experience a plus.



Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work alone as well as on a team

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications

  • Ability to sit and keyboard/work on the phone for up to 8 hours in a day

  • Independent and self-directed

  • Problem-solves with creativity and ingenuity

  • Organizes, prioritizes, and coordinates multiple activities and tasks

  • Produces work in high quantity and quality

  • Data Entry

  • ICD-10 & CPT codes

  • HIPAA compliant

  • Maintain accuracy of 5% or less error rate

  • Code 500 +/- reports per day

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Primarily sedentary work. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.


Most work is remote. In home work office or on-site for periodic meetings. Work must be completed on company equipment only and employee must sign the remote worker policy.
