The role emphasizes quality audits, education, and ongoing process improvements, with pay starting at $23.87 per hour. This is a full-time, on-site position located in Illinois.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; CPC, CEMA within 6 months; CPMA within 1 year.
• Certification as CPC, CPMA, CEMA preferred or required within stated timelines.
• RHIT or RHIA certification preferred or required by listing.
• Experience auditing coding assignments and educating staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist coders with coding questions and collect audit results.
• Educate and train coding staff on processes and documentation.
• Code all encounters according to ICD-CM and CPT guidelines.
• Maintain data quality and support appropriate reimbursement.
• Review records to ensure accurate diagnoses and procedures.
• Contribute to EM code level selection audits and improvements.
