Job summary

United Surgical Partners International, Inc. is seeking a Coding Support Specialist to provide administrative support to the Coding Department.

Duties include maintaining physician coding logs, inputting charges from coded tickets, data entry, and coordinating dictation reports on outstanding accounts. This role ensures month-end records are complete and tracks all outstanding accounts through the coding process, requiring strong communication, computer skills and attention to detail in a busy

Qualifications

• One year medical data entry experience required
• One year of medical billing office experience preferred
• Completion of a basic medical terminology course preferred

Responsibilities

• Maintain and coordinate physician coding logs.
• Input charges from coded charge tickets and perform data entry as needed.
• Coordinate retrieval of dictation reports on outstanding accounts.
• Ensure records are completed for month end and track outstanding accounts.
• Print and review charge tickets for procedures and consultations.
• Communicate with managers on issues related to coding and charges.
