Job summary

Qualifications

• Level II requires 3 years of diagnostic and procedure coding experience or CCS certification.
• Knowledge of UHDDS standards and coding guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Code and abstract routine to complex patient records using ICD and CPT, per guidelines.
• Assist with accurate DRG identification for proper reimbursement.
• Compile statistical data for hospital reporting and assist training of coders.
• Respond to requests from agencies and management regarding coding questions.
• Maintain knowledge of current coding regulations via approved references.
