ICP Solutions Limited in Cranston, RI is seeking a certified Medical Coder to review in-patient and out-patient records, extract diagnostic and procedural information, and maximize reimbursement through correct ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 coding.

You will work from paper records, travel between Cranston and Zambarano Hospital, and must bring CCS or CPC credentials and a valid driver’s license; 35 hours per week, standard 8:30 am to 4:00 pm.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology and pathology.
• In-depth understanding of ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 classification systems.
• Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid and third-party payors.
• Ability to interpret medical records for accurate coding and billing.

Responsabilités

• Review in-patient and out-patient medical records to extract diagnostic, procedural and demographic information.
• Maximize reimbursement through proper coding and sequencing per HCFA, ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 rules.
• Collaborate with medical staff and billing unit to ensure data integrity and confidentiality.
• Assist with discussions with physicians for clarification on difficult cases.
• Maintain weekly status logs of admissions, transfers and discharges.
