Qualifications

• Experience with healthcare billing software/systems (Epic, eClinicalWorks, Athena) is preferred.
• Strong data-entry speed and accuracy; solid medical terminology knowledge; familiarity with insurance policies (Medicare/Medicaid) and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Review EHRs and clinical documentation to initiate, format, and generate medical claims.
• Verify and apply ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes to ensure clinical accuracy.
• Confirm patient demographics, policy coverage, and authorization requirements.
• Run claims through scrubbers to catch errors before submission; maintain HIPAA compliance.
