Job summary

GT Independence, LLC, a leading national Financial Management Services provider, is seeking a Claims Team Leader to supervise and develop a team of claims specialists. The role focuses on supervising claim submissions, payments, and resolving issues with agencies.

Responsibilities include training, auditing team performance, and developing new agency procedures. This position emphasizes leadership and collaboration across departments to ensure accurate A/R and timely settlements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
• Strong ability to lead and mentor multiple team members.

Responsibilities

• Be the point of contact for team questions; coordinate answers with agencies and internal departments.
• Sign off/approve credit memos and employee receivables.
• Assist with administrative accounting procedures per Controller/CFO.
• Audit team performance, monitor team metrics and manage claims process.
• Train new employees and existing employees in department procedures and agency requirements.
• Assist in developing claims procedures for all new agencies prior to transitioning to Claims Specialist.
• Prepare A/R reports for your team’s agencies to monitor unpaid claims; work with team members and agencies to collect outstanding payments.
• Communicate with Claims Manager on training issues, agency challenges, unbilled items and A/R issues.
