Qualifications

• 2–4 years in compliance medical chart auditing, internal audit or risk adjustment coding.
• Knowledge of medical chart audit methodology and internal controls.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage audit docs.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with audit tools is a plus.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• CPC, CPMA, CRC certifications (AAPC/AHIMA).

Responsibilities

• Execute medical chart audit procedures including documentation review and data testing.
• Draft medical audit findings and support report preparation under supervision.
• Maintain organized audit work papers in compliance with standards.
• Track observation status and support corrective action follow-up.
• Research regulations and internal policies to inform scope and testing.
• Communicate audit status and preliminary findings to senior auditor.
