Job summary

Mount Sinai Hospital seeks an experienced Plumber to install and service plumbing and related fixtures across the medical center. You will perform pipe fitting, testing, and routine repairs to keep systems operating at peak efficiency.

The role requires a high school or trade/vocational plumbing diploma and a minimum of five years of experience. You will work on sanitary, heating, drainage, oxygen, vacuum, and specialty piping, with opportunities to read blueprints and contribute to maintenance

Qualifications

• High School or Trade/Vocational School diploma specializing in plumbing or completion of a BIMC-recognized training program.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in plumbing and basic mechanical skills.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, assemble, alter, remove, install and repair pipes, fittings and fixtures across systems including sanitary, drainage and water supply.
• Perform pipe fitting duties: cut holes, thread, weld, braze or solder piping and properly support and insulate lines.
• Install, adjust and repair traps, valves and controls; clear blockages and test systems for leaks and safety.
• Read blueprints, trace service lines and conduct hydrostatic and pressure tests; inspect systems regularly.
