Job summary

UCI Health, a major academic health system in Orange County, seeks an inventory and purchasing specialist to support hospital inventory, receiving, distribution, and replenishment. You will work with end users to ensure a smooth supply chain and accurate patient charges, with overtime and weekend shifts to meet operational needs.

The role requires experience managing an SKU-based inventory system, basic math skills, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

Must have 1 year of previous job-related experience managing a multiple product inventory (SKU) and stock procurement system.
Must be available to work overtime, weekends, and a rotating schedule to meet operational needs.
Must be able to perform heavy manual tasks.
Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations.
Must be able to effectively communicate, read, write and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.

Responsibilities

Functions as specialist, providing purchasing and inventory management support to a specific area of hospital inventory supply/equipment.
Duties include supply chain operations and logistics functions to include receiving, distribution, picking, put-away, product delivery and par/point of use replenishment and stocking and input of patient charges as directed.
Works with departmental end users/customers to ensure an effective and streamlined supply chain experience.
