This full-time contractual position assists the Medical Care Program Associate Supervisor in coordinating operational functions, which include reviewing, interpreting, verifying, and utilizing Medicaid eligibility data to accurately update and maintain the Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) Recipient Eligibility sub-system in accordance with State and Federally mandated policies and regulations necessary to establish eligibility for Medical Assistance consumers. This position requires knowledge of Federal and State regulations, policies and procedures as they pertain to the Medical Assistance Programs. This position requires technical knowledge to access, interpret, and verify data in the Maryland Health Connect (MHC), Eligibility and Enrollment (E&E), and other systems of record. This Lead Worker position provides technical assistance and guidance to Medical Care Program Associates, including assigning, reviewing work, and conducting quality assurance reviews. This position recommends solutions to problems as identified and provides training for staff as indicated. This position will also provide customer service to internal staff at the Maryland Department of Health (MDH) and external customers at various agencies regarding issues related to Medicaid eligibility. Additionally, this position acts as a liaison with community partners such as hospitals, Social Security Administration and LDSS regarding all policy and procedural requirements of the Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) Eligibility file.
