Job summary

Intermountain Region ASCs is seeking a skilled Medical Billing Specialist to manage UB04 and HCFA 1500 billing, follow up on claims, and communicate professionally with patients and staff. You will resolve disputed claims, monitor payer trends, and ensure accurate coding while maintaining compliance and timely reporting.

The role requires a minimum of two years in medical billing, knowledge of HCPCS/CPT/ICD coding, and strong communication skills in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Minimum two years of medical office billing experience.
• Knowledge of Medicaid/Medicare billing and reimbursement.
• Familiarity with third-party payers and coding (HCPCS, CPT, ICD).
• Ability to communicate professionally in writing and verbally.

Responsibilities

• Resolves disputed claims by gathering and providing information and following up.
• Resolves discrepancies by examining data and selecting corrective steps.
• Maintains operations by following policies and reporting compliance issues.
• Maintains quality results by following company standards.
• Keeps up to date on Medicaid/Medicare billing and reimbursement procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
