Job summary

Carolina Family Health Centers, Inc. is seeking a Billing Associate I/II for its Wilson, NC location. This role handles charge entry, posting payments, and tracking claims within a busy revenue cycle under leadership of the Director of Revenue Cycle.

The position offers a 40-hour work week, full benefits, 12 paid holidays, and bi-weekly pay. Ideal candidates have strong computer skills and experience in medical billing and Excel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree and/or certification with three years of experience or seven years of experience without degree or certification (Billing Associate II).
• Previous billing experience preferred.
• Must be computer literate.
• Intermediate level with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
• Attentive to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Charge verification and entry.
• Actively monitor and work outstanding accounts receivables.
• Run weekly reports to ensure accounts receivables are below organizational goals.
• Prepare bad debt write-off for review.
• Remain in compliance with insurance company rules and regulations.
• Continuously monitor payor updates and changes.
