Erickson Senior Living in Catonsville, MD is seeking a detail oriented Medical Billing Specialist to support accurate resident accounts through meticulous billing and inquiries handling. You will reconcile third‑party payments, manage pre‑billing reviews, and ensure timely cash postings in a supportive, mission‑driven environment.

This role requires at least 2 years of healthcare AR billing experience, CPT/ICD-9 familiarity, and strong Excel/medical billing software skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years healthcare accounts receivable billing experience.
• Familiarity with CPT, ICD-9 and third-party reimbursement practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and medical billing systems.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile third party payments and perform necessary adjustments.
• Manage accurate pre-billing reviews, billing, follow-up, and cash postings for an assigned business line.

Requirements

• Familiarity with CPT, ICD-9, and third-party reimbursement practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and medical billing systems.

Compensation

Compensation: $23.00 -$25.00 per hour, plus eligibility for annual bonus. Please note that specific state regulations and requirements may be applicable. These regulations take precedence over the requirements outlined in the job description.
