Valley Comprehensive Community Mental Health Center Inc. is seeking a Billing Assistant to support the Revenue Manager in preparing and submitting medical claims to commercial insurance, WV Medicaid, and other payers using EMR/PMS software.

You will run reports, audit data for accuracy, communicate with clinical and billing staff to resolve issues, and help maintain client ledgers and timely filing. This role requires attention to detail and HIPAA compliance.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong communication and active listening skills.
• Problem solving, attention to detail, and organizational abilities.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and basic accounting procedures.

Responsabilidades

• Run reports from EMR/PMS and other sources to identify data issues and resolve them.
• Create instruction materials for directors and supervisors.
• Audit services and admissions data to ensure clean claims and accurate client ledgers.
• Document all steps taken in claim workflows and communicate issues to relevant parties.
• Assist in submitting electronic claims and paper bills, including edits, resubmissions, and appeals.
• Collaborate with insurance representatives, clients, and staff to resolve billing questions.
• Monitor filing limits and ensure timely submissions.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies.
