Job summary

MD Billing, a rapidly growing medical billing company based out of Lubbock, TX, is seeking Coding Specialists who are committed to accuracy, versatility, and strong attention to detail. The role involves coding across multiple specialties, end-to-end claim processing, and collaboration with providers to ensure timely billing.

Ideal candidates have experience in E/M and procedural coding, knowledge of CPT/HCPCS/ICD-10-CM, and familiarity with LCD/NCD/NCCI edits.

Qualifications

• Experience with multi-specialty coding is required.
• Strong knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM.
• Familiarity with LCD, NCD, and NCCI edits.
• Experience in denial management and coding edit processes.
• EMR experience, preferably eClinical, is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with providers and staff to ensure timely billing processes.
• Code for multiple specialties (preferred).
• Handle end-to-end claim process: coding, rejections, denials.
• Review provider documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Billing and coding according to payer and facility guidelines.
• Identify and apply LCD/NCD/NCCI edits as needed.
• Maintain MD Billing coding metrics and guidelines.

We deeply believe in not only growing our company, but in growing our employees as well.Come help us continue to raise the bar in medical coding and billing!Specific Responsibilities of the Job:Work closely with providers and staff to ensure timely billing processes.Ability to effectively communicate with and educate providers as needed.Billing and Coding for multiple specialties (preferred).Ability to work End to End claim process: Coding, Rejections, DenialsWork within the EMR system to ensure charge capture and sequencing.Reviewing and interpreting provider documentation.Billing and Coding according to payer and facility guidelines.Ability to identify and code to Local Coverage Determinations and CPT Guidelines.Ability to uphold to all MD Billing coding metrics and guidelines.Following up on needed coding edits.Working with billing team to ensure proper billing and coding processes.Ability to handle workload or daily productivity.Performs all other related duties as assigned.Commitment to continuing education.Skill Set:Experience with multi-specialty codingExperience in E/M and Procedural CodingCurrent certification CPC, AHIMA etc. (preferred)Knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM.Knowledge of current coding guidelines.Knowledge in LCD, NCD and NCCI editsKnowledge of different payers and policies e.g., Medicare, HMO, PPO, Medicare Advantage Plans etc.EMR experience (eClinical preferred)Knowledge of medical practice revenue cycle processes.Denial management and coding edit processes.Ability to identify and track trendsAbility to analyze documentation and assign appropriate codes.Ability to work independently with a high degree of attention to detail and reliable decision making.Strong analytical skills.High school diploma or GED.Schedule:Monday to Friday 8 AM to 5 PMWork setting:Office (If in Lubbock,TX area)Experience:2 to 5 years (preferred)License/Certification:CPC, AHIMA Certification (preferred)
