Job summary

Inceed, L.L.C. partners with a healthcare provider to recruit a skilled Medical Billing Specialist. You will join a busy environment handling insurance follow-up, denial resolution and account review to keep revenue cycle operations moving smoothly.

The role emphasizes processing unpaid claims, resolving denials, and assisting patients with questions about coverage. A minimum of 6–12 months billing experience and Medicare knowledge are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 6–12 months of billing experience preferred.
• Experience in a healthcare setting required.
• Knowledge of medical billing, collections and Medicare requirements.
• Understanding of basic medical coding.
• Familiarity with third‑party payer procedures.
• Strong computer and data entry skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly with patients and payers.

Responsibilities

• Submit documentation and corrections to support payment.

The role sits in a busy healthcare environment and offers hands-on work with insurance follow-up, denial resolution, and account review.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Review unpaid claims and identify follow-up actions
• Contact insurance carriers to check claim status
• Submit documentation and corrections to support payment
• Respond to patient questions about accounts and coverage
• Research and resolve insurance denials
• Process delinquent accounts and payment plans
• Resubmit claims and monitor payment progress

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Six to twelve months of related billing experience preferred
• Experience in a healthcare setting required

• Schedule is Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Friday hours are 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
• Hours may vary based on department and clinic needs

• Travel may be required
