Huntsville Hospital Health System is seeking an accounts receivable/billing professional to review and audit accounts daily, resolve collection statuses, and escalate to team leads as needed.

You will verify eligibility, resubmit claims, file third-party insurances, respond to carrier requests, and correct host-system errors. Strong Excel/Word skills and hospital billing experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 6 months to 1 year of hospital or physician office billing/collection experience preferred.
• Experience producing complex account appeals with positive outcomes preferred.
• Experience with electronic billing, internal report archives and database tools preferred.
• Ability to prepare complex correspondence to resolve accounts.

Responsabilités

• Review and audit accounts daily to resolve and maintain collection status.
• Escalate to Team Lead for further review when needed.
• Process commercial accounts through contract/denial management systems.
• Verify eligibility and resubmit claims; file third-party insurances as necessary.
• Respond to insurance carrier requests for additional information.
• Review EOBs to determine accurate balances, denial descriptions, and appeals.
• Identify and correct incorrect or posting errors in host systems.
• Resolve claims processing disputes related to denials and correspondence.
