Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a Billing Technician to manage the full cycle of medical billing, coding, and claim submissions to third-party payers. The role emphasizes accuracy, timely submission, and adherence to regulatory standards.

The candidate should have strong knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10, and related diagnostic codes, with experience in EPIC or similar billings systems. Travel for training may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• At least 2 years of experience in medical billing.
• Advanced knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10, clinical disease processes; pharmacology; laboratory radiology and other diagnostic tests; diagnostic and procedural terminology to identify specific clinical needs.

Responsibilities

• Submit properly executed claims to third-party payers on a timely basis.
• Rebill or correct billing of accounts previously submitted.
• Maintain accuracy and timeliness in all billing and coding activities.
• Adhere to HIPAA and Privacy Act requirements.
• Travel to conferences/training as needed.
