Job summary

Ideal Home Care Services, Inc. seeks an experienced Medical Billing and Coding Instructor to join our academic team in person in New York.

You will deliver courses on ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, and healthcare terminology, preparing students for certification exams and equipping them to manage billing processes. The role requires at least two years of professional experience in billing/coding and teaching experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Certification in Medical Billing and Coding required.
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in medical billing, coding, or reimbursement.
• Teaching or training experience in classroom or online settings preferred.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, medical terminology, and ICD-10/CPT/HCPCS standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver curriculum on medical billing and coding including ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS.
• Assess students via quizzes, exams, and practical coding exercises.
• Prepare students for CPC, CCA, and other credentials.
• Develop lesson plans and course materials.
• Maintain current knowledge of billing regulations and coding changes.
• Maintain accurate student records and progress.
• Collaborate with faculty to create a positive learning environment.
