What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Prepare and submit billing data to all third-party payers using the billing system
- Reconcile data and correct errors for batch submission
- Accurately enter all client/patient information into the system
- Post payments from all third-party payers and self-pay clients, and follow up on missed payments
- Investigate and appeal denied claims while resolving billing issues and disputes

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a medical biller or in a similar role
- Solid knowledge of billing concepts, medical terminology, behavioral health billing, and electronic medical records
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with insurance verification and eligibility processes
- Familiarity with handling balance calls concerning billing inquiries
- Knowledge of aging accounts receivable reports and their analysis
- Experience in resolving payment discrepancies and rejected claims
