Job summary

ProMedica in Toledo is seeking a part-time Medical Billing Specialist to review physician office charges within the EMR for ICD-10 and CPT accuracy, correct edits in billing software, and notify supervisors of any inconsistencies. The role requires 2 years of medical billing experience, CPT/ICD-10 knowledge, and strong attention to detail to ensure clean claims and compliant coding practices.

Job Summary:

POSITION SUMMARY

Reviews physician office charges within the electronic medical record for diagnosis accuracy and documentation completion per the ICD-10 and CPT billing guidelines. Corrects any billing edits within the billing software. Notifies supervisor of any inconsistencies. Occasionally contacts staff or providers to update or clarify any missing information within the medical record.

Complies reports of lost revenue due to missing documentation within the medical record.
