The role operates on-site Monday through Friday, with training provided for those new to medical billing.

Ideal candidates are organized, detail-oriented, and eager to grow into a Billing Specialist over time.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail and data entry accuracy.
• Professional and empathetic phone and written communication skills.
• Ability to follow established processes and handle repetitive tasks.
• Basic computer skills including Google Workspace.
• Ability to work on-site at Tigard, OR headquarters.

Responsibilities

• Print and mail WCOMP claims per payer requirements.
• Submit electronic WCOMP claims via clearinghouse/portals.
• Mail HCFA claims, statements, and supporting documents.
• Verify submissions and flag errors for follow-up.
• Post ERAs and patient payments into the PM system.
• Post manual checks and balance batches per EOBs.
• Process refunds according to policy.
• Handle billing mail and patient statements.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant billing files.
• Provide clerical support including data entry and updates.
• Assist with WCOMP A/R and basic status checks.
