Job summary

AFC Urgent Care Clinics seeks a reliable Billing Associate to join our Revenue Cycle team at our Tigard, OR headquarters. This entry-level role focuses on WCOMP claim submission, payment posting, and patient billing inquiries, with training provided.

On-site, Monday–Friday, in a fast-paced clinic billing environment. The position supports a team of Billing Specialists and requires strong attention to detail, data entry accuracy, and professional communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in numbers and data entry.
• Professional and empathetic phone and written communication.
• Ability to follow processes and handle repetitive tasks reliably.
• Basic computer skills including Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

• Print WCOMP claims and prepare for mailing per payer requirements.
• Submit electronic WCOMP claims via clearinghouse or portals.
• Mail paper HCFA (CMS-1500) claims and supporting docs.
• Post ERAs accurately into the PM system and balance batches.
• Answer patient billing inquiries by phone and Collectly, explain balances and options.
