Job summary

NYU Langone Florida is seeking a Billing Representative I to join our team in Boynton Beach. You will perform entry‑level billing tasks, including data entry, claim review, accounts receivable follow-up, insurance authorizations, precertification, and patient estimates in line with established workflows.

You will collaborate with staff across departments to ensure accurate processing, resolve billing or clearance issues, and protect patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and 1 year in medical billing or related duties.
• Familiarity with CPT and ICD-10 coding and medical billing software.
• Strong verbal and written communication, time management, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Perform entry-level billing tasks, data entry, claims review, and AR follow-up.
• Handle insurance authorizations and precertification and prepare patient estimates.
• Identify issues in payer credentialing or coding and escalate as needed.
• Collaborate across departments and follow training workflows.
• Ensure compliance and protect patient confidentiality.
