CCI Health Services in Silver Spring, MD is hiring a Billing Specialist to manage data analysis, claims processing, and follow-up on denials to maximize reimbursement. You will review patient visits, verify coverage, and maintain accurate billing records within the revenue cycle.

The role requires a high school diploma (AA/BS preferred), 2+ years in medical billing, proficiency in MS Office, and knowledge of CPT/ICD codes and EMR systems such as eClinicalWorks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; AA/BS preferred or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience in medical billing/coding.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of HCPCS, CPT, ICD and revenue codes.

Responsabilités

• Review and research forms documenting patient visit information and correct amounts due.
• Contact insurance to verify coverage and compute total bills.
• Examine patient bills for accuracy and obtain missing information.
• Prepare, review, and transmit claims using billing software (electronic and paper).
• Follow up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycles.
• Address patient and insurance inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Audit claims and accounts; prepare adjustment reports to resolve issues.
• Maintain knowledge of reimbursement guidelines and codes.
• Coordinate communications with payers to improve cash collection and AR aging.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance in all duties.
