Job summary

CCI Health Services in Silver Spring, MD is seeking a Billing Specialist to manage patient accounts, verify coverage, submit claims, and follow up on denials. You will need strong data analysis, attention to detail, and effective communication with patients and insurers.

Ideal candidates have at least two years in medical billing or coding, a high school diploma (AA/BS preferred), and experience with eClinicalWorks or other billing software.

Qualifications

• Two years of medical billing or coding experience required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and billing software.
• Knowledge of HCPCS, CPT and ICD coding; HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Review patient visit forms and correct amounts due from patients and insurers.
• Submit claims electronically and on paper; follow up on denials.
• Research and resolve payer inquiries; maintain A/R under targets.
• Audit claims and prepare adjustment reports; ensure accurate billing.
• Maintain knowledge of CPT/HCPCS/ICD codes and billing guidelines.
