Job summary

A leading emergency services provider in Elmhurst is seeking a Medical Coder for their Billing Department. This position requires a minimum high school diploma and knowledge of medical terminology. The Medical Coder will review patient care reports, ensure accurate coding, and communicate with various departments. Comprehensive benefits are offered. This role is fully in-office, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

• Review patient care reports for medical necessity.
• Maintain communication with departments for documentation.
• Assign condition codes with minimum 95% accuracy.
• Monitor work for timely and accurate coding.
• Attend meetings to enhance knowledge of coding.

Knowledge of medical terminology

Excellent verbal communications skills

Ability to Multi-task

Computer literate

Typing of at least 35 WPM

Education

Minimum High School Diploma or equivalency

Preferred College Coursework towards Healthcare Billing Certification
