Job summary

Eyesight Ophthalmic Services is seeking a Medical Biller in Somersworth, NH for a hybrid role. You will handle claims submission, denials, and patient payments, while learning CPT/ICD-10/HCPCS and EMR systems. Training is provided as you grow within the revenue cycle team.

You should be organized, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. The position offers day shifts with no evenings or weekends and a competitive hourly pay.

Great patient care doesn't end when the appointment is over.As a Medical Biller at Eyesight Ophthalmic Services, you'll help keep our revenue cycle moving, from accurate claims and timely payments to resolving insurance issues and helping patients understand their bills.Already have medical billing experience? Great.Newer to the field but organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn? We want to hear from you, too.We have an experienced team ready to train the right person.

What You'll Do

Depending on your experience and training, you'll:

• Review, prepare, correct, and submit insurance claims
• Research denials, rejections, underpayments, and outstanding balances
• Post and reconcile insurance and patient payments
• Assist with appeals and supporting documentation
• Help patients understand balances, insurance processing, and payment options
• Work with Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance, workers' compensation, VA, and other payers
• Learn and apply medical billing and coding requirements, including CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS
• Cross-train in other billing functions as your knowledge and experience grow

Even Better If You Have

• Medical billing, coding, accounts receivable, payment posting, or healthcare experience
• Ophthalmology billing experience
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, or commercial insurance
• Experience with EMR/practice management systems, especially ModMed
