Job summary

South College is seeking a Medical Assisting Adjunct to deliver high-quality instruction, develop lectures, labs, and assessments, and ensure compliance with program requirements. The instructor will maintain accurate records and contribute to student achievement of course objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
• Evidence of instruction in educational theory and techniques.
• Be credentialed in good standing in MA with details provided in the posting.
• Have been employed a minimum of 3 years in a healthcare facility including at least 160 hours in ambulatory settings with administrative and clinical duties.
• At least one year of teaching experience in postsecondary or vocational/technical education.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver academic lectures, labs, and assignments aligned to course objectives.
• Prepare and submit course syllabi per South College standards and deadlines; ensure syllabus approval before posting on Canvas.
• Follow approved outlines and use designated textbooks and materials.
• Grade papers, tests, and evaluations promptly to provide feedback.
• Complete and submit attendance rosters, competency forms, and grade sheets within timelines.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and exam materials.
• Manage classroom and online activities professionally and accessibly.
• Travel to clinical sites to visit students as required.
