Mediko Inc in York, PA is seeking a Medical Assistant (CMA) to support healthcare providers in a correctional setting. The role involves clinical and administrative tasks, including vital signs monitoring, assisting with examinations, dispensing medications under supervision, and maintaining accurate medical records.

You will operate within facility policies, respond to requests promptly, and help coordinate patient care while upholding safety and professional standards.

Qualifications

• A High School diploma or GED is required.
• REQUIRED: 1-3 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a correctional healthcare or similar environment.
• Active CPR/BLS certificate required (American Heart Association/American Red Cross guideline approved).
• Experience in roles that involve direct patient care or administrative support in a regulated environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Dispense medications as delegated by licensed clinical staff, documenting dosage and timing accurately.
• Monitor and restock medication carts and medical supplies, supporting inventory and compliance with storage protocols.
• Assist with vital signs, examinations, specimen collection, and similar clinical tasks as delegated.
• Maintain accurate patient records and coordinate care in adherence to security and facility policies.
• Respond promptly to requests from medical and safety staff, respecting chain of command and professional conduct standards.
