Job summary

CenterWell Senior Primary Care is hiring a Medical Assistant to be the first contact for patient care. You will perform varied administrative and clinical tasks, including vital signs, drug administration, phlebotomy and specimen collection, and documentation in EMR.

You will report to the Center Administrator at the Wildflower Clinic in Phoenix. The role requires MA training or certification, CPR, bilingual English/Spanish proficiency, 1+ year MA experience, and TB screening responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Complete an MA program or be a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or have 5+ years of experience approved by the Provider.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR certification required.
• Bilingual English and Spanish proficiency required (pass proficiency exam).

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care including vital signs, medication administration and vaccines, and phlebotomy.
• Prepare exam rooms, maintain equipment, and document in electronic records.
• Collaborate with providers within certification limits.
• Screen TB patients and ensure patient-facing interactions meet care standards.

Location: CenterWell Senior Primary Care office located at: 1704 W Bell Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85023

The Medical Assistant discusses symptoms, obtains vital signs, administers medications and vaccines, performs phlebotomy, collects specimens, conducts screening tests, sterilizes equipment, maintains exam rooms, documents in electronic records, and collaborates with providers within certification limits.

• You will have complete a MA school/training program or a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or 5+ years of experience and approval from Provider
• You Will have a High school diploma or equivalent
• You will be CPR Certified
• You will be patient facing and run the Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, we will require you to screen for TB.

Ideal Candidate

• You will be Certified or Registered – (Arizona, Indiana, and South Carolina you require Medical Assistant Certification or Registration)
• You will have Phlebotomy experience
• Medication/vaccine administration experience
• 1+ years MA experience
• You will have value-based care experience including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience.
• You will have Bilingual proficient in English and Spanish - must pass proficiency exam before foreign language communication.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$43,000 - $56,200 per year

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
