Patient First in Lancaster, PA seeks a Medical Assistant to support physicians and nurses through vital sign collection, triage, and preparation for exams. The role requires EMR proficiency, lab and X-ray ordering, and maintaining a clean, stocked treatment area.

Responsibilities include assisting with patient care, phlebotomy as needed, and teamwork to ensure smooth center operations. CPT/CPR readiness and physical stamina are essential for this full-time position.

Formación

• Must be 18 years or older
• Minimum typing experience
• High school graduate or equivalent
• Minimum of one year of clinical experience in a hospital or physician’s office preferred
• Ability to hear pages, bells, and phone system
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods (4–7 hours)
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to attend scheduled CPR classes and code drills
• Willingness to work at any center due to staffing or center emergencies

Responsabilidades

• Locate patients and obtain accurate vital signs by visual and auditory measures
• Triage patients and assess medical condition
• Prepare patients for exams by Physicians and Nurses
• Understand and use the EMR system
• Order lab, x-ray, and medical supplies as directed
• Notify Nurse/Physician when patient is ready for exam and relay questions
• Assist Nurses and Physicians with treatments and care
• Sterilize and set up instruments and maintain treatment rooms
• Perform lab duties and phlebotomy as assigned
• Maintain cleanliness and restock supplies in treatment areas
• Attend staff meetings and follow established policies
• Operate and maintain medical and office equipment
• Support center operations and patient care during shifts
