Job summary

Loyal Source is seeking a Medical Assistant to support VA disability examinations and associated clinical and administrative tasks in Knoxville, TN. The role includes preparing claimants, performing diagnostic testing, maintaining records, and ensuring smooth clinic flow.

The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule (8:00 AM–5:00 PM), with travel as needed to support other Loyal Source clinics and events. This is not a treatment role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; MA certification preferred where applicable by state regulations.
• Current BLS certification, including renewals.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Basic understanding of medical terminology.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Proficiency with EMR systems and standard office software.
• Authorized to work in the United States for federal contractors.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and document vital signs and prepare claimants for examinations.
• Perform ECGs, PFTs, and collect blood specimens for testing.
• Calibrate equipment and ensure room readiness prior to appointments.
• Chaperone claimants during examinations when required.
• Check in/out claimants and manage clinic flow for timely exams.
• Review and maintain claimant medical records and scheduling needs.
