Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island in Bethpage is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Urology team. You will support physicians and nurses, help manage patient flow, perform routine charting and procedures, and ensure patient comfort throughout visits.

The ideal candidate has MA training or equivalent experience, strong communication skills, and familiarity with EPIC/medical terminology. Strong teamwork and reliability are essential in this busy clinical environment.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent required.
• Graduate of Medical Assistant program or 2 years MA experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic knowledge of computers.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and nurses in patient care tasks with competence and compassion.
• Maintain patient flow, escort patients, and prepare exam/treatment areas.
• Take vital signs, weights, and EKGs; assist with phlebotomy as needed.
• Ensure proper charting, lab results, and prescription renewals with physicians.
• Clean, sterilize, and stock exam/treatment rooms; assist with routine duties.
