Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island in Bethpage seeks a Medical Assistant to support physicians and nurses in delivering compassionate patient care. You will assist with exams and procedures, obtain vital signs, and help manage patient flow.

The role requires a MA program completion or 2 years of MA experience, with strong communication skills and basic computer knowledge. Knowledge of EPIC Ambulatory and BLS are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent.
• Graduate of Medical Assistant program OR 2 years of Medical Assistant experience.
• Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
• Basic knowledge of computers.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and nurses in patient care and procedures.
• Obtain vital signs, weights and perform ECG when needed.
• Maintain patient flow and escort patients to exam rooms.
• Prepare exam rooms and treatment areas between patients.
• Assist with troubleshooting, scheduling, and patient documentation.
