Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide patient care in an ambulatory clinic in North Ogden. The role supports clinicians and communicates with patients by phone and in person, with a 36-hour work week across 3 shifts, including weekends and holidays.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, handle routine tasks, and maintain patient privacy. Minimum qualifications include MA program completion or comparable experience, BLS, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• Completion of Medical Assistant program OR at least one year MA work experience OR current active RN/LPN license in Utah.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required before start date.
• Basic computer skills for word processing and data entry.
• Professional manner and strong interpersonal communication.
• Ability to work collaboratively with patients and caregivers to ensure satisfaction.
• Protect privacy and PHI of patients and caregivers.
• Utah MA residency program option if certified with less than one year MA experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under clinician direction and assist with visit information gathering.
• Communicate clearly with patients via telephone and in-person interactions.
