Job summary

ExpressCare Urgent Care Centers is looking for a full-time Medical Assistant in Dundalk, MD. You will support providers, document patient information, and help deliver efficient patient care in a fast-paced urgent care setting.

Required education includes an accredited Medical Assistant program with externship; CPR is mandatory and CMA/RMA/CCMA are preferred. Benefits include health/dental/vision, PTO, and a 401(k) with company match.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program with clinical externship.
• CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification preferred; CPR certification required.
• Minimum one year of clinical experience in a physician’s office or hospital preferred.

Responsibilities

• Medical history intake and triage with accurate EMR documentation.
• Measure and record vital signs including BP, HR, temperature, height/weight.
• Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, urine collection, and influenza nasal swabs.
• Prepare and administer oral and injectable medications under physician supervision.
• Prepare exam rooms and assist providers during patient visits.
• Educate patients and explain discharge papers and medications.
• Complete checklists, inventory, and other logs.
