Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide direct patient care in an Outpatient Urgent Care Clinic in Santa Fe. You will help prepare patients, support patient flow, assist providers with treatments, and manage medication administration while contributing to a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

  • BLS certification required at time of hire.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Prefer healthcare experience.
  • For MA II applicants: six months MA experience or completion of an MA or Nursing Assistant program.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care in an Outpatient Urgent Care Clinic.
  • Assist with treatments and procedures and medication administration.
  • Support clerical functions: scheduling, referrals, authorizations, EMR in-basket support.

Responsibilities:

Presbyterian is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide direct patient care to an assigned group of patients in an Outpatient Urgent Care Clinic. Common responsibilities include preparing the patient for the visit, maintaining efficient patient flow, assisting the provider with treatments and procedures, medication administration, support for clerical functions to include scheduling, referrals, authorization and in-basket support with the EMR.

This position is eligible for the Northern New Mexico differential of $4.00 per hour. (This differential may be adjusted or discontinued based on business requirements.)
