Job summary

TriHealth Priority Care is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and care teams across sites. You will interview patients, take vitals, and document information, while maintaining exam rooms and assisting with procedures. This role emphasizes teamwork, flexibility, and quality patient care.

The position offers cross-training to improve efficiency and delivery of services within Priority Care settings across locations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved technical, professional, or vocational program.
• CPR current and active; RN or LPN licensure also acceptable.
• RMA/ CMA certification pathway acceptable through certifying bodies.
• Up to 1 year experience in medical/physician office setting.

Responsibilities

• Assists the physician in examination and treatment of patients.
• Interviews patients, measures vitals, and records information on charts.
• Prepares treatment rooms for examination and maintains patient flow.
• Cross-trained to perform duties to enhance efficiency and continuity of care.
• Performs delegated duties under physician supervision.
• Supports medical record maintenance and safety/environmental duties.

Job Requirements:

• Graduate of an approved technical, professional, or vocational program
• Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), through AMT, NCCT, or NHA, or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) by AAMA, and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Current and active RN or LPN licensure also acceptable

Job Overview:

This position assists the physician in examination and treatment of patients, performing miscellaneous delegated duties under the direction of physician. This position also interviews patients, measures vital signs, such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height, and records information on patients' charts, and prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients. The position will be cross-trained to perform duties to enhance efficiency and continuity of delivery of patient care; work cooperatively within the team concept demonstrating flexibility, motivation and commitment to quality patient care. This position’s tasks include patient related duties, medical record maintenance/documentation, and safety/environmental duties.
