Job summary

Gulf Coast Heart and Vascular is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant Triage to join our team. You will room patients by obtaining vitals and performing EKGs, and prepare charts before patient arrival.

The ideal candidate has strong customer service skills, an interest in learning more about a clinical environment, and prior office experience.

You will assist nurses and doctors, manage lab results, and handle basic medical office duties, including chart preparation and patient communications.

Qualifications

• BLS Certification or CMA is preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills required.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Experience in the medical field is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for patient visits by pulling charts/notes and setting up equipment.
• Clean rooms and equipment after use.
• Answer phones and field questions about medical issues and visit needs.
• Assist nurses and doctors with basic medical care and procedures.
• Track lab results, call in prescriptions, and handle basic medical office duties.
