Norton Healthcare is hiring for Medical Assistants and Medical Assistant Trainees in the Louisville, KY area. The program is a full‑time, 40 hours a week paid training program that combines classroom and clinical training.

The classroom training will be conducted at a Norton location in Louisville; clinical training will be at various locations in Louisville and Southern Indiana. Upon successful completion, you transition into a full‑time Medical Assistant role.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a medical assistant program (or) One year as a Medical Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Taking patients to rooms.
• Obtaining vital signs.
• Assisting with medical procedures.
• Performing phlebotomy.
• Obtaining lab specimens.
• Adhering to safety and infection guidelines.
• Maintaining electronic medical records (EMR).
• Calculating & administering medications & vaccinations.
