Job summary

Norton Healthcare is seeking Medical Assistants and a Medical Assistant Trainee in Louisville, KY. The role involves administrative support and direct patient care under supervision, including vital signs, rooming patients, and basic clinical tasks.

The trainee program runs full-time, Monday–Friday, 8a–4:30p, with classroom and clinical training at different locations in Louisville and Southern Indiana. Upon completion, transition to a full-time Medical Assistant role.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a medical assistant program or one year MA experience.
• High School Diploma required for trainee position.
• Experience with EMR and administrative tasks is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Take patients to rooms and obtain vital signs.
• Assist with medical procedures and phlebotomy.
• Maintain electronic medical records (EMR).
• Greet patients, schedule appointments, and perform clerical tasks.
