The program runs Monday–Friday, 8a-4:30p, with classroom training at 1001 Breckenridge Ln, Louisville, KY 40207 and clinical training at locations around Louisville and Southern IN.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a medical assistant program or one year as Medical Assistant.
• High School Diploma for Medical Assistant Trainee; comprehensive on the job training provided.
• No experience required. We provide comprehensive on the job training.

Responsibilities

• Taking patients to rooms.
• Obtaining vital signs.
• Assisting with medical procedures.
• Performing phlebotomy.
• Obtaining lab specimens.
• Adhering to safety and infection guidelines.
• Maintaining electronic medical records (EMR).
• Calculating & administering medications & vaccinations.
• Greeting patients.
• Scheduling appointments.
• Answering phones.
• Clerical & computer work.
• Prior authorizations.
• Billing and coding.
• Faxing.
• Disability & Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) paperwork.
