Norton Healthcare offers a full-time Medical Assistant Trainee program designed to train you in both clinical and administrative skills within a physician practice setting.

Training combines classroom and clinical sessions, Mon-Fri 8a-4:30p, at 1001 Breckenridge Ln, Louisville, KY 40207, with clinical training at various locations throughout Louisville and Southern IN. Upon successful completion you will transition into a full-time Medical Assistant role.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a medical assistant program (or) One year as a Medical Assistant.
• High School Diploma (for Medical Assistant Trainee).
• No experience required. We provide comprehensive on the job training.

Responsibilities

• Taking patients to rooms.
• Greeting patients.
• Obtaining vital signs.
• Scheduling appointments.
• Assisting with medical procedures.
• Billing and coding.
• Maintaining electronic medical records (EMR).
• Calculating & administering medications & vaccinations.
