Job Title: Supervisor, Medical Assistant
Function: Field Operations
Report To: Operations Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Job Purpose and Summary:

The Medical Assistant Supervisor will oversee the daily operations and provide guidance to the Medical Assistant team. The role offers opportunities to work across multiple clinics, gaining diverse experience and exposure.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Exemplify TOI core values, delivering outstanding customer service and fostering a positive environment for patients and staff.
  2. Monitor Medical Assistant productivity.
  3. Train staff and new hires.
  4. Audit charts and assist Clinic Manager in protocol development.
  5. Participate in staff meetings as required.
  6. Organize inventory and stock exam rooms and labs.
  7. Promote exceptional behavioral standards and confidentiality.
  8. Conduct weekly check-ins with team members to assess morale and needs.
  9. Lead recruitment and hiring processes, including interviews and final decisions.
  10. Develop training materials and oversee onboarding for new staff.
  11. Collaborate on maintaining the Policies & Procedures manual.
  12. Lead coaching, performance management, and training sessions.
  13. Act as a communication link between staff and leadership.
  14. Support clinic programs and supervise MA Supervisors.
  15. Conduct quarterly and annual performance reviews.
  16. Schedule and lead in-service trainings.
  17. Provide coverage support during staff absences or high patient volume.
  18. Perform in-person audits to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  19. Travel approximately 25% of the time between clinics.
  20. Perform other duties as assigned, including supporting the MA team directly when needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Required Experience, Education, and Training:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Medical Assistant Certification.
Physical Requirements:

This role involves prolonged sitting, extensive computer and phone use, and occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds. Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities.

The salary range is estimated at $23-$26 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
