Job summary

Thundermist Health Center in Woonsocket, RI is seeking a Medical Assistant Supervisor to lead a team of MAs, including Lead MAs, and ensure high quality patient care.

You will manage staffing, training, scheduling, and onboarding, implement new workflows with the Nurse Manager, and promote safe practices and strong staff morale.

This on-site role requires BLS/CPR, CLIA competency, and proficiency with MS Office; experience with MA programs is a plus.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant certification or in progress.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Collaborative across disciplines.
• Broad clinical knowledge in the department.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
• BLS/CPR certified.
• Competency for CLIA waived testing.
• Excellent customer service.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and staff Medical Assistants to ensure coverage.
• Hire and onboard new MA staff and train with Lead MAs.
• Coordinate MA workflow and training with nursing leadership.
• Maintain MA productivity, quality, morale, and patient service.
• Ensure staff compliance with CLIA, OSHA, HIPAA guidelines.
• Roll out new workflows with the Nurse Manager and improve processes.
• Lead MA meetings and maintain MA site resources.
