Greater Lawrence Family Health Center (GLFHC) is seeking a bilingual Medical Assistant Supervisor to lead the MA team and manage daily operations across multiple sites. The role emphasizes staff development, scheduling, and adherence to clinical standards to ensure high-quality patient care.
The supervisor will mentor staff, coordinate coverage during absences, and drive process improvements while upholding GLFHC policies and patient care goals.
Established in 1980, the Greater Lawrence Family Health Center (GLFHC) is a multi-site mission-driven non-profit organization employing over 700 staff whose primary focus is providing the highest quality patient care to residents throughout the Merrimack Valley. Nationally recognized as a leader in community medicine (family practice, pediatrics, internal medicine, and geriatrics), GLFHC has clinical sites throughout the service area and is the sponsoring organization for the Lawrence Family Medicine Residency program.
GLFHC is currently seeking a bilingual Medical Assistant Supervisor. The Medical Assistant Supervisor provides leadership to the medical assistant staff by planning and organizing all aspects of the day to day operations of the medical assistant team. Monitors and coordinates all medical assistant functions, including staff management and development and process improvements. Manages employee schedules, PTO time and facilitates coverage when absences occur. Demonstrates good clinical knowledge and judgment as well as ability to perform technical skills appropriate to the ages of patient served. The Supervisor promotes high quality patient care management, optimizes department resources, mentors and reviews staff performance, and enforces all Greater Lawrence Family Health Center policies, procedures and behavioral standards fairly and consistently.
